Holster Review "Marilyn"

Many of you remember my review on the Flashbang Holster from Looper Law Enforcement. If you haven't read it, you can here.

I recently got to tour the workshop where the Flashbang and her new sisters are constructed. I tell you what, the Looper family has something to be proud of and after three generations of hard work, they sure do know what they are doing.

As much as I love the Flashbang, there are sometimes when it is simply not the solution but the Looper family have come up with the answer to those problems too. Over the next few days, I hope to share each of these sweet ladies with you.

Today, as I was wearing a dress, I spent the day with Marilyn. Marilyn is a bra holster, like her big sister, the Flashbang; however, Marilyn rides in the side of the bra instead of the front, similar to a shoulder holster. It works for situation when a woman is wearing a sports bra or a dress. Drawing is by reaching into the neckline of the cover garment.

The Marilyn is a Kydex clamshell like the Flashbang, it has a leather retention strap with a safety snap, and a clip to keep it from slipping down into the bra cup. The Marilyn is made to fit to over 20 models and growing all of the time.

You have to find the adjustment of the Marilyn to where it can be concealed, yet easily drawn, but once you do, this holster is an asset to any wardrobe. It conceals completely as you can see in the pictures.

The draw of the Marilyn is fast and easy. I am not as fast with the Marilyn as I am with the Flashbang, but with some practice, I am sure that I will be. It is a simple pull right out of the Kydex clamshell, just like the Flashbang.

The Marilyn is super comfortable. Once it is situated and concealed, you hardly notice it's there. It doesn't slip or move and makes it possible to wear even more styles of clothing and completely conceal a firearm.

The price is super affordable. At around $40 plus shipping, this great little holster fits most any budget. You can order yours at many places including Looper  Brand and Bang Bang Boutique.

Several people (mostly men) have asked about safety while holstering and drawing, flagging and more...so I really want to address that. When holstering and drawing, at no point am I flagging myself. I am completely safe at all times and my muzzle direction is at no time what I would consider unsafe. The holster has a full trigger guard, giving me 100% peace of mind that my firearm is safe from UD at all times in the Marilyn holster. The muzzle is pointed at the ground and the trigger is completely covered.

Would I recommend this holster for other women? Absolutely. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them here or on my Facebook page. And don't forget to look for reviews for two more Looper brand products in the week to come.

Thigh and Ankle Holsters From Remora

Many of you have read my posts about Chick Holsters and how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE their thigh and ankle holsters for women, but if you have tried to order from Chick Holsters lately, you have met with dismay. Last year Camille made the difficult decision to close the company and sadly, the only company that we had making thigh and ankle holsters for women closed its doors. So if you are a woman looking for a thigh or ankle holster that wasn't made for a man, have I got some news for you??!!

One of our favorite holster companies has added a few products to help us still dress as women and yet be safe and be strong because we ARE worth it!

Last fall I was honored to be my dear cousin's Matron of Honor. The question in the dressing room was "Can you really wear a gun with a bridesmaid's dress?"

Of course you can. This was one of my most favorite jobs ever...assisting my beautiful cousin with her most wonderful day. Aside from having to wear silver flats, I LOVED the dress and am still so proud to have been beside such a beautiful woman on the happiest day of her life.

Here's how the Remora thigh holster makes this possible

The holster is completely concealed and being Remora, doesn't move. The thigh strap has the amazing Remora non-slip material on the inside, so it doesn't need an extra strap around the waist to keep it in place. Even through toasts, running the bride to the potty, and two hours of dancing, the Remora thigh holster stayed in place through every step. My dear cousin was probably the safest bride in town!

Need an ankle option? Perhaps you want to go out on the town and dance the night away. Perhaps you want to wear some tight jeans and a form fitting top. This can make an IWB holster a little less concealable and a little more uncomfy, so you want an ankle rig to keep you safe without compromising your wardrobe. How about this?

If you've ever worn a man's ankle holster, you know what I'm talking about when I say one of the greatest assets of this great holster is that there is not an extra foot of strap to try to figure out what to do with and since it's Remora, there's no extra strap going up your leg and around your calf.

Safe, snug, doesn't move and invisible. Like the thigh holster, it has the Remora Magic fabric on the inside to keep it in place. The best thing about the entire line of Remora holsters is that they don't break the bank and they allow women everywhere to wear whatever they want and still carry concealed safely.

Check out the thigh holster or any of Remora's amazing line at RemoraHolsters.Com and remember, you can now get pink and purple lining!!!

Holster Review: Diva Sleeve

Good morning friends! I truly appreciate all of the amazing comments I have gotten from yesterday's post! It came straight from my heart and I am so happy that it touched yours.

I want to review another new product for women today, especially women who carry concealed...the Diva Sleeve. Created right here at home in Weathorford, TX; this is a company close to this Texas girl's heart.

Before I start with the review I want to make a statement that is purely my PERSONAL opinion. I do not teach or enjoy purse carry. There are SO MANY options now for ladies to carry on their body, no matter what they are wearing. I would rather carry on my body. I would like for everyone to carry on their body for safety. If you MUST purse carry for personal reasons, then your firearm must be protected, and for that purpose, this product is what you're looking for.

Construction: The Diva Sleeve is made of quality leather and crafted well. The leather work on this particular model is hand tooled and stained. It is beautiful and feminine. I love it! I would also recommend perhaps a future model with a belt clip on it so that it could be worn IWB or OWB.

The thick, durable leather will help to prevent your firearm from getting lint, dust and debris build-up from purse/pocket carry. It will also prevent wear and scratching from these methods of carry as well.

Comfort: Since it is not an on-the-body holster, there really isn't any comfort/discomfort to evaluate. It is light enough; however, to comfortably fit into a coat pocket for winter carry.
Gun Ride: My LCP with CT fits perfectly into this holster.
Concealability: Since it is made for purse carry, it conceals perfectly. It also works very well, as I said before, in a coat or jacket pocket.
Price: The $65 price tag on most models and the option to design your own make this a product worth buying. With the quality and beauty of the holster, it serves to be a product that will last as a valuable asset for a long time.
Ordering/Customer Service:  Ordering is done primarily online. There is no phone number listed on the website, but by using the "Contact Us" page, you may send an email. In my experience, emails are answered quickly and service is great!
If you carry in your purse or pocket, this is a product I would definitely recommend giving a try.

UPDATE: I was notified by Diva Sleeve that they DO have a clip option available for carrying in the purse or IWB. They are ALSO designing a strap option for safer on the belt carry! Thanks Diva Sleeve!!
Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this holster free from the manufacturer. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. Goodbye, my friend

I have really needed to post this for a minute but I just couldn't bring myself to. This post is a goodbye letter in one aspect and a notification to you in another.

Many of you have read and remember my review of the Chick Holster. I love that holster. It is one of the ones I list when someone asks "If you could only have three holsters, what would they be?" (Narrowing it down to one is just not at all possible.)

With sadness today, I am passing on the word that Chick Holsters is to be no longer.  I am compelled to say that I am a better person for having found Chick Holsters and Camille. I have been blessed to have found such a kind, caring friend. I have grown thanks to our emails and conversations.

I also found an amazing holster. If I had more time and the capital to invest, I would ask for your pattern so that Chick Holsters could live on. The gun world is losing a valuable ladies resource in losing such a great product. If you do decide to make it available, I would love to make a few for myself. Thank you, so much, for everything.

Camille and Garridan, if there's anything I can do, please do not hesitate to let me know.  I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. God bless and be safe.

All my love,
Lady

Holster Review - Remora No Clip Holster

Today I get to tell you about my new favorite IWB holster. This holster is made in the USA by some super people who have supported me and our ladies in so many ways.

The Remora No Clip Holster has a model for almost any handgun. I have yet to find a handgun that I couldn't get a Remora for.

Construction: The Remora is made out of a non-slip rubber fabric. With even a small amount of compression the Remora is designed to stay in place without a clip. They have several cuts, the standard, the Artemis, and the reinforced top to accommodate individual preferences.
Comfort: This holster is amazingly comfortable. I love it for many different styles of clothing but especially my workouts, yoga pants, pj's and skirts...clothing that you don't normally wear a belt with; therefore, traditional IWB holsters can't work.
Gun Ride: Ride is absolutely as adjustable as it can be. I like to wear mine to the gym, with my joggers or yoga pants, and pull the drawstring up snug (not tight). I can do a 45 minute kickboxing class, run on the treadmill or use any of the machines without it moving.
Concealability:  Super concealable, but I do wear some type of cover garment with this holster. I don't feel like I have to, but feel more comfortable since I usually wear this holster when I am more active.
Price: The price is VERY affordable!! At about $25, this is a holster for everyone!
Ordering/Customer Service:  Customer service cannot be beat. Some folks have trouble with the website, but if you do, just call them up. The wonderful folks at Remora will be happy to help you!

Once again, I love love love this holster. It is in my top three FOR SURE!!! I can bet that you will love it too!! Oh AND...they have mag pouches too!!!!

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this holster free from the manufacturer. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255 : “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”

Deep Conceal Holsters: Review

Oh my goodness, I have several holsters to review for you this week! I am not presenting them in any particular order, simply the order in which I received and reviewed them.

The first one is the Deep Conceal Concealed Carry Shoulder holster.

The Deep Conceal Max Double Strap Holster

And the Deep Conceal Ultra Carry Single Strap Concealed Carry Holster

Construction: These holsters are made out of soft cotton canvas material and soft velcro. They are constructed well and through our testing never offered to separate or fray. If you measure correctly for your size, it is made to fit your body, if you need more length, extensions are available as well. These holsters are machine washable.

Comfort: This is another holster that the comfort depends on your build. This holster was not comfortable for me all of the time, as I am not a thin person. It was only uncomfortable for me after a large meal, sitting in the car. The Cowboy; however, loves it and wears it almost daily. If you are a fit person, I think you will find this holster extremely comfortable.
Gun Ride: The firearm rides just under your weak arm in a vertical position.
Concealability: Due to the strap across your belly, you need  some type of cover. Either a button up or vest of some type that closes at least as far up as the holster.
Price: With models between $30 and $50, the price fits anyone's budget.

Ordering/Customer Service: Customer service at Deep Conceal is top notch. They are there to answer any questions and will help you with a smile that can be felt through their phone calls and emails. Shipping is swift and their return policy is fair.

Holster Clinic - October 2011 - Amarillo

Wow, we had such an amazing time at the holster clinic. 40 ladies and myself in a hall talking about holsters and concealed carry. How much more fun can you get?

I showed, reviewed and deomnstrated the Crossbreed, the Flashbang, the Remora, the Chick Holster, the Deep Conceal, the SmartCarry, and some great purses from Gun Tote'N Mamas. I also had the joy and pleasure of giving away holsters to 17 great ladies. Y'all know that my favorite part of what I do is giving away free things, so it was a great night.

I spent some time at the beginning of the clinic and reminded the ladies about gun safety, holster safety and personal safety.

I offered opportunities for ladies to see all the holsters and to ask questions. In the picture below, I am wearing the Remora with yoga pants and walking around the room for the ladies to see.

And here I am giving a Remora to Nancy "Purple" (giggle) after drawing her name from the green bowl!

The links to the holsters I demonstrated are:

This was the favorite I think among everyone,
the one that I was wearing with my yoga pants that has no clip and stays put.

Flashbang Holster
Bang Bang Boutique is a sponsor of this blog and A Girl and A Gun
She offers the Flashbang and carries Gun Tote'N Mamas Purses as well
This is the hybrid leather/kydex holster that I wear inside the waistband

 Chick Holsters
The thigh and ankle holsters

Deep Conceal
The one that goes around your middle and has shoulder straps

Smart Carry
The pouch

Gun Tote'n Mamas
The purse

I am excited for the chance next year to travel and offer more ladies the chance to see holsters for ladies and their options. No longer are we ladies stuck with the "wear baggier clothes" solution to our concealed carry needs. We can wear any of our favorite clothes and have a myriad of holster options so that we can legally carry no matter whether we're on the treadmill, at a wedding, or in our favorite boots and jeans!

Flashbang Bra Holster Review

A week ago I opened the mailbox to find my new Flashbang Holster. If you know me, I love new holsters about as much as new shoes. So I immediately donned my prize and posted a preliminary review after an hour. My views have not changed, I still really enjoy this little holster.

Construction: The Flashbang is constructed out of Kydex with a leather strap to attach it. The Kydex is a clamshell design allowing for a fast and easy draw, while being totally secure when worn as it was designed to be worn. The Pull the Dot snap is strong and secure adding an extra measure of security.
Comfort: The Flashbang  is very comfortable. As long as you have the right bra, you forget it's there. The only discomfort I had was with a tank top that had a built-in shelf bra. I wear a bra with those type tops (as you will have to if you are going to wear the Flashbang) and the elastic band on the shelf bra pressed against the pistol, making it a bit uncomfortable. I solved this problem by simply taking my scissors and snipping that elastic band. Viola, no more pressure, all is well.
Someone asked if the grip will dig into your belly when you sit. My answer is no. If you look at the Flashbang Website, you will see Lisa at 8 months pregnant wearing the flashbang. If she can, you can.
The holster comes with three interchangeable straps so that you can make it fit your favorite bra and make it as comfortable as possible.
Gun Ride: Well, we all know where this one rides. The holster swivels on the snap, so you can adjust it to your comfort.
Concealability: As you can see in my pictures in my preliminary review, the concealability is excellent!
Price: At $40, the Flashbang is plenty of "bang" for your buck! This little holster meets all of my expectations and being Kydex, will last for years.
Ordering/Customer Service: Ordering from the website is easy and the customer service from Looper Brand is excellent. You can also order your Flashbang from various retailers including our friend Kim at Bang Bang Boutique. And for you Amarillo gals, David at Erwins is hoping to carry the Flashbang very soon!
So, if you can't tell, I love this holster. I is a valued addition to my holster collection and will be worn often!!
Have a great day!
Lady

Flashbang Bra Holster, Preliminary review

So I just received the Flasbang in the mail about an hour ago. So far, I really like it. I am not going to do my regular review format until I have had the chance to wear it for a few days, to be fair to the other reviews I give, but since there has been so much anticipation for this review, I wanted to give some up front comments.

First off, one reason so many of my readers are eager to hear my review is that I am not a size 5. Many of the ladies who have reviewed the Flashbang and most of the models in the pictures and videos (not counting the gorgeous Lisa at 8 months pregnant and glowing) are beautifully thin women with great athletic bodies. I; however, am a fuller figured girl. Not exactly plus sized, but not far from it.

Of course,  when I opened the package I ran to my closet with my camera to show you fine folks what it looked like. I have never seen the "Pull The Dot" snaps used on this puppy, and thought I was losing my mind, but thankfully, Lisa posted a video on her Facebook page explaining that you have to pull them a certain way. Thanks so much for that added security, Lisa, I love it!!

I have pictures with two tops. The first one is a tight tank, I like the layered look as I have been told it makes me look thinner (Yay!) and here it is
I am wearing an underwire bra and have my Ruger LCP with Crimson Trace in the flashbang here.

The next top, is a cute little thermal looking top I got at Cavenders this weekend and I chose it because it is quite see through
As you can see, you can see the leather strap that attaches the Flashbang through the shirt material but the holster itself and the pistol are unseen.

On a side note, why does the camera pointed at us automatically make us go into that "weight-on-one leg, hands-on-the-hip" pose? Both pictures. What the What? I don't know. I'll try to stop that. Anyway, back to the holster.

I will tell you that having it there makes me feel like I need to sit up straight, not a bad thing. My grandma would be happy that I am sitting up straight while I type this. I don't know what it is, it just promotes good posture. Chiropractors everywhere will love this, hehehe.

I think the biggest question from larger women everywhere has been, "Will the grip of the pistol dig into my belly, especially when sitting?" So far my answer is no. Maybe that's part of the reason I feel like sitting up straighter, but even slouching a little (yes, Grandma, I slouched on purpose) it's not digging in. It does take a minute to adjust it how you want it and get used to it. I mean ESPECIALLY if you wear an underwire.

Another question was, "Will it make one of them look bigger than the other?" As all women know, most of us are a little lopsided anyway. If you look closely, you will see that I am a little bigger on the right than the left. That is NOT because of the Flashbang, it's on the OTHER side. I am right handed so the Flashbang is under my left breast. I am just bigger on the right, always have been.

So far, comfort is good, taking some getting used to, as with any new holster, you know it's there for the first day or two. Part of that, I think, especially with concealed carry is that nagging, "Can anyone see it?" But after a while we get used to it and don't know it's there anymore. I've had it on for about an hour and it's really not so bad. I kept it on while changing clothes, put on and off my coat and fixed lunch for the little ones. It was not in the way. And, unlike an IWB or pouch type holster, you don't have to worry about what to do with it when you go to the bathroom.

So, as of now, the Flashbang is a hit! I will post next week after I have worn it a few days and let you know what I think! Please feel free to ask any questions!

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend!!

Holster Review: Chick Holsters - Ankle

If you're like me, Sometimes you want to wear a pair of tighter jeans with a tank or tee and that really leaves no room for an IWB holster. I received my new holsters from Chick Holsters a couple of weeks ago and have truly enjoyed trying them out.

Construction: The Chick Holster is made of durable, breathable fabric...and breathable is important here in the Texas Panhandle where we're sneaking up on 50 days this summer over 100 degrees. The elastic is strong and soft, and doesn't dig into the skin. The straps can be cinched just tight enough and do not come loose during the day.

Comfort: The comfort of this holster is impeccable! Unless I accidentally try to sit in the floor the wrong way, I pretty much forget it's even there. You have to work a little in the beginning to find the adjustment for you. If you make the support strap short enough, it holds the holster up enough so that you don't have to tighten the ankle part to the point of cutting of circulation. If you find you're perfect adjustment, this amazing holster is super comfy with no flopping and no loss of circulation. I mean come on, in your cute pants and strappy sandals, you don't want purple toes, right?!

And since this holster was made for a woman, not a man, there's not a yard of extra velcro hanging out there to contend with. It can be comfortably tightened down to fit the smallest ankle.

Gun Ride: Gun ride is all up to you in this holster. You can ride it high on the ankle or sitting right down on the ankle bone. Since you adjust it to fit you, you create the ride you like best.

Concealability:
As you can tell in the pictures, in my bootcut jeans, the holster is completely concealed. Wearing it under a pair of fitted bootcut slacks one day, I had a guy ask me, "You don't have a gun right now, do you?" I laughed and did a supermodel turn and asked, "Do you see one?" I do wear mine without the flower, to remove that little bump, but to each her own...some may enjoy the cute little flower on their holster.

Price: At $39.95, the price for this little holster is excellent. They also offer a super warranty.

Ordering/Customer Service: Ordering is a cinch! You can order online with credit card and Garridan is quick to answer if you have any questions. If you read the testimonials, you will find many examples of the quality customer service that Camille's staff provides.

They have even provided some excellent customer service for one of our readers, a gift certificate for a free Chick Holster, including shipping! You can use it for the ankle holster or the thigh holster and order it custom to fit your firearm. All you have to do is leave a comment here, let us know what outfit would you look forward to having a chick holster for? Comments will be taken all weekend and the winner will be drawn from all the comments on Monday.

There is even a group of guys on the internet that rave on the Chick Holsters thigh holster to wear with their kilts!!! How's that for ingenuity??? Go Camille!! And thanks sister, for your support and encouragement for women's firearm education!

SmartCarry® Review

Today I am reviewing the SmartCarry®. I already gave one of these away. Our lucky winner was Misty. Misty, feel free to chime in on our comments and let us know what you think about the SmartCarry®. I received one of these great holsters from The SmartCarry® Company, in order to give women another option for concealed carry with different clothing options. I have worn the SmartCarry® with yoga pants, pajamas, a broomstick skirt, and slacks. The pictures here are with my nice new slacks. I have a couple of different jobs that I do and one of them requires business dress. The only belt I have is the one I wear with my boots and jeans and it doesn't really go with slacks, so an IWB holster just wouldn't work as well. Here are the pictures before I get on with the review:

Just so you know, I love how this outfit slims me!! :)

Construction: The construction of this holster is great! They are made of great heavy blue denim or white duck cloth and have a layer of Cushmax® on the back to wick sweat away from your skin. The velcro closure is tough and doesn't seem to have the chance to come undone, and I love the extra wide elastic, allowing a snug fit.

Comfort: The comfort is great as long as you have some kind of undershirt between the velcro and your skin in the back. This outfit did not allow for an undershirt, so it rubbed a little. As you can see, I am kind of a bigger girl, and didn't have any problem with the grip pressing into my stomach. I hardly noticed it was there at all. I did have to adjust a little bit when getting in the truck, but nothing too major.

Gun Ride: The ride is great. You might want to fold your hands in your lap if you are seated without a table, set your purse or a book in your lap or something. Someone might wonder what the bulge is where a lady shouldn't have one, hehe.

Concealability: As you can see in the pictures, my LCP just plain disappeared.

Price: The standard model, priced at $50.95 is a great deal and well worth it!

Ordering/Customer Service: Charlie may not be a Texan but enjoys to visit like the rest of us. He has the nicest demeanor and will make sure you get the right SmartCarry® for you!

I truly enjoy having the SmartCarry® as an option for me and I think you will too.

Crossbreed MicroClip Review and Giveaway

Have I told you how much I love the great guys at Crossbreed? They are great supporters of That Texas Lady and A Girl and A Gun Women's Shooting League. Today I will be reviewing the Crossbreed MicroClip for the Ruger LCP without the Crimson Trace LG-431.

Construction: We received the MicroClip in Natural Horsehide, right handed, and the construction is awesome. The super staff at Crossbreed suggested the Horsehide due to the heat here in Texas and I am glad they did. With record setting temps, it's hot enough as it is. As with any leather product, it was stiff and rigid at first, but after a day or two, broke in quite nicely. The kydex is formed to the LCP and fits snugly without making it difficult to draw. The difference between the MiniTuck that I reviewed the other day and the MicroClip is the clips. The MiniTuck has two clips, while the MicroClip has one.

Comfort: I am in love with the MiniTuck, so I had trouble being objective with it's smaller counterpart with one clip. It is just as comfortable actually. I was just a little less comfortable personally because of the single clip. I wanted to reassurance that it was not going to move and change visibility.

Gun Ride: Like I said I was a little unsure of the way it would ride due to only having one clip, but I was able to wear it at about 4:30-ish in small shorts, a tank top, and a light print coverup with no visibility. It didn't move at all, so my fears were quelled. (I hope to have pictures soon, still having camera problems).

Concealability: The LCP is a small gun anyway so not much to conceal, but with the MicroClip, it pretty much disappears. The clip is attached so that you can tuck your shirt in around it, making it difficult to notice that way. If you wear any kind of cover garment at all, it completely disappears.

Price: At $69 for the horsehide model and $59 for cowhide, this holster is very well priced. The durability makes it well worth the price tag, giving you years of wear out of your money.

Ordering/Customer Service: Ordering is so easy, you can call Crossbreed at 888-732-5011 or order online. The staff are amazing! This is a family company and they hand make each and every holster, giving it a personal touch and making sure they turn out a quality product. Because they hand make each holster, be sure to allow 4-6 weeks for delivery when you order. Waiting is hard, especially for me, but they will get it to you, I promise!

In summary, I really enjoy the Crossbreed MicroClip! The agreement between Crossbreed and I was that the merchandise they sent to me would be for review and given away, so unfortunately I have to part with this great holster...but the great part is that I get to give it to one of you!!!! I now have an LG-431 on my Ruger anyway so it won't fit.

So here's what we will do. In order to win the Crossbreed MicroClip for the Ruger LCP, you will need to leave a comment on this post and answer a question. This morning I saw a gun that was originally black painted to be grey, another digital camo, and yet another a gorgeous hot pink. If I could afford to have my LCP painted, I would have it done in hot pink...I love hot pink. So to enter the contest for the MicroClip, answer the question, "If you could paint your gun any color, what would it be? Or would you leave it alone?" I know this is quite a girly question to ask, but now there are guns of all colors (Cowboy has one that is army man green) so inquiring minds want to know...

Entries will be accepted all weekend with the winner to be drawn on Monday.

Have a great day and happy commenting,

Crossbreed MiniTuck Giveaway

Since we're all exactly the same size, I know that we will all enjoy this holster exactly the same way. But really, since all women are different sizes, I have opinions and pictures of women of different sizes. (Pictures will be added at a later date due to technical difficulties.) I know that sometimes clothes, accessories and holsters will fit a thin woman much differently than it would a fluffy woman. I am probably what some would consider "average". I am not excessively overweight but I do have some "fluff".

The bigger you are, the more difficult you may have found it to find a comfortable, sitting holster. That's one reason I created this blog, to inform women of the options available. When I review a holster, I will remark on the following topics: Construction, Comfort, Gun Ride, Concealability, Price, Ordering & Customer Service.

So with all of that said, let's get on to the review.

The great guys at Crossbreed have been superkind enough to allow us to review and give away two of their amazing holsters! Today I will be reviewing the Crossbreed MiniTuck for the Ruger LCP without the Crimson Trace LG-431.

Construction: We received the MiniTuck in Natural Horsehide, right handed, and the construction is awesome.

Comfort: The MiniTuck is the most comfortable of the holsters I have tried so far. Whether wearing mid or low rise jeans, dress slacks, or shorts, the MiniTuck is great! It is best to wear a belt but I even wore it one day with a pair of low rise jeans with no belts loops and as the jeans were snug, I didn't have any problems. I was pretty self-conscious that they were going to ride down, though, whether they really were or not.

A friend of mine, a very thin woman, wore my MiniTuck for a few days and truly enjoyed it. She stated that it didn't bite into her hip like another IWB had and being able to adjust the cant a little made it sit perfectly. She, like me, said it was the most comfortable IWB she had ever tried.

Gun Ride: It is adjustable, so you can fiddle with the cant a little, in case you're like me and when you sit, you feel like the butt of your pistol is going to rearrange a rib or two, but I didn't have to adjust it much at all.

Concealability: The LCP is a small gun anyway so not much to conceal, but with the MiniTuck, it pretty much disappears. The clips are attached so that you can tuck your shirt in around it, making it difficult to notice that way. If you wear any kind of cover garment at all, it completely disappears.

Price: At $77 for the horsehide model and $67 for cowhide, this holster is very well priced.

In summary, I love, love, love the Crossbreed MiniTuck! The agreement between Crossbreed and I was that the merchandise they sent to me would be for review and given away, so unfortunately I have to part with this great holster...but the great part is that I get to give it to one of you!!!! I now have an LG-431 on my Ruger anyway so it won't fit (gives me an excuse to buy a new one, hehehe).

So, while I wait for payday to call and order me a MiniTuck to fit with my new LG-431, let's have a giveaway, shall we?
