Since it is Wednesday and my CHL requirements are gathered and mailed and since my gun is at Ruger and I have nothing better to do. I thought, "Hey Lady, how about we give something away today?" And I agreed. (Not really, I don't talk to myself, well sometimes, but it sounded like a great way to start this post.) So, here we go.
Our new friends at SmartCarry® have offered a SmartCarry® for us to review, which we will be doing as soon as it comes in. They have also offered a Gift Certificate for one lucky reader to win a free SmartCarry® of their own.
So here's how you enter to win. You can have as many as FOUR chances:
1.) Leave a comment on this post, telling us why you decided to become licensed to carry.
2.) "Like" That Texas Lady on Facebook and Leave a comment letting us know you did
3.) Become a follower of this blog and leave a comment letting us know you did
4.) Link to this site on your personal blog and leave a comment with a link to the page we are listed on
Each comment will be a chance to win. Multiple comments of the same thing do not count (for example, you can't post 12 times that you "liked" us on Facebook for 12 chances, but you do have the chance to post four comments, one for each qualifier...email me if you have any questions). Entries will be accepted until 8:00 a.m. CST on Monday, June 13th and then a winner will be drawn randomly. You do not have to be a Texan to win, and you do not have to be female, but come on guys, you have more options than we do, let the girls win???
Also, if you would like to remain anonymous, You can do that too. I know that some of you, like me, don't want the whole world to know that you carry (concealed is concealed, right). So just make up a name, leave it in your comment (example: Hi, this is Mary Brown and I carry because I refuse to be a victim.)and then email me at thatTexasLady@gmail.com and let me know who Mary Brown really is and what your email address is, in case you win. If you already "like" us on Facebook, you may go ahead and leave a comment to that fact as well. Also, if your comment doesn't show up right away, don't worry. They are on moderation and I am not in front of the computer 24/7.
The lucky winner will be announced here on Monday AND notified by email.
Good luck!!

I shared it on my blog. Hopefully you will get lots of new folks. I do not need to be entered into the contest, just happy to support you.
ReplyDeleteI carry to protect myself and my family, and I already "like you" on facebook. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks A Girl And Her Gun! I signed up to follow your blog as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks SewTexas, you can list Facebook as a separate comment if you like for another chance to win. Each comment is a separate entry.
ReplyDeleteAh, ok, I like you on Facebook already! I'll figure this out LOL
ReplyDeleteLOL! Thanks for the support!!
ReplyDeleteHi Lady. This is Ce Adams - I carry because I drive 160 miles a day 4 dAys/ week and I want to be able to protect my kids.
ReplyDeleteCe again - I "like" you on facebook
ReplyDeleteCe again - I finally got the "follow" function to work - i am following you as "Chriss"
ReplyDeleteRemember, each requirement gives you a chance to win! So you can post up to four comments! One comment for #1, one for #2, one for #3, one for #4. That's gives you FOUR chances to have your comment drawn from the comment selector engine.
ReplyDeleteHi Dan from Ohio, just came across your blog so what the hey. I carry to protect myself family and others. I consider myself a sheepdog. I also carry because a redneck without his/her shootin iron just isnt complete. I also carry because it pisses off, people like, Rosie Odonnel, Hillary and Bill Clinton and the other public figures that thinks it ok to tell the rest of us,
ReplyDelete"that we shouldnt be allowed to protect ourselves" while they live behind walls with armed guards at their doors. thanks
Howdy from a fellow Texan!
ReplyDeleteI posted this on the gun contest list I maintain on my blog.

why I carry?
ReplyDeleteTo protect my family and loved ones. Guess this is the simplest answer
Now I'm following the Blog as TM :)
ReplyDeleteFB Like completed too...can you match the name to the initials? :)
ReplyDeleteTM can you please edit your WHY I Carry Posts all into one? Leave your Facebook and following posts separate though. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI like to think the reason I carry kind of like the reason so many people carry condoms. I would rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. To be a little more serious Ive lived in many places were it wasn't uncommon to hear gun shots at night (or even during the day). I carry to protect myself and loved ones as well as any innocent law abiding citizen I might be around (love the TN castle defense laws). Thanks for the chance to win and supporting the Second Amendment.

ReplyDeleteHi ,just started following your blog
ReplyDeleteLiked your facebook page too , Misty Stevens also
ReplyDeleteI carry because I'am the only one truly responsible for my own protection.
ReplyDeleteNot a gal but I'am trying to win it for my wife. I'm a dedicated shoulder holster guy and you are correct women don't have many carry options.
ReplyDeleteI carry because my life is not for others to take. It may be crappy at times but its still mine. Nor is my wife's life, families or friends lives, or any innocent strangers life I happen to be around at the time.

Hello
ReplyDeleteI carry 24/7 because....Saw a lot of crime violence growing up,the county in general has gotten a lot more lawless,I will NEVER be in a situation where loved ones are hurt or killed because I am not armed, have been in situations where I was not armed I may not have been able to write this message today.
Thank's for the contest.
