Brilliant Backstraps

I don't have the right gun, so I have not tried this product but I love this lady and I beleive in her and she believes in her product so much that she's offering one free to one of you.

This lady is my good friend Tracy Hughes and her new company is Brilliant Backstraps. Brilliant Backstraps creates custom glittered backstraps for the Smith & Wesson M&P line with removable backstraps. They also make custom backstraps for other firearms with removable backstraps as well as jeweled slide endcaps that match the backstrap. Those aren't on the website yet. In fact, the website is a little behind because the Facebook page has been so successful. There are plans for expansion into a men's line that doesn't include glitter as well as other accessories for women.

The biggest questions is the texture. The backstrap is a little rough at first and they will shed a small amount of glitter in the beginning, but they smooth out very quickly and stop shedding within the first couple of uses.

My dear friend Athena at GunGoddess.com even believes in them so much that she carries them as well as the gold and silver zebra pattern exclusive to her site.

If you have an M&P or know someone who does and would like one of these brilliant backstraps, visit her website or Facebook page and leave a comment on this post telling me which one is your favorite. I will allow posts for one week and then draw for one free American Flag backstrap that will be shipped directly to you!

Purple, Really??

My beautiful friend Robin gives me crap every chance she gets. Not bad crap, she just loves to josh me, ya know? I love her for that. Robin says that this commercial reminds her of me:

I LOVE purple. Just in case one of you doesn't already know that. This commercial made me giggle too (it's kinda long, you don't have to watch the whole thing):

Some people don't enjoy purple, and that's okay too. When I decided to get my LCP duracoated, though, guess what color I went with? Of course....purple. Not puuuuuuuurple, but PURPLE. Goddess Purple, to be exact.
AND....I love it!!

But some people ask me, "Why purple?"

To them I answer, "Why not?" Purple is my favorite color. It is pretty, but bold. It is royal, but feminine. It can go with a bright orange or a deep blue. It is fun AND fierce. It is flirty and fabulous!! Purple makes me happy...that's why.

Lots (I know that's not a real word in this context, thanks Martha Ann) anyway, lots of girls have pink guns. Thanks to Charter Arms, you can have a wide array of colors on a revolver. But, unless it's been custom coated like mine, there is no purple LCP!! And I love it!!

The duracoat was done my Grim Industry and you can visit their Facebook page to learn more about them. Their cost for duracoating a handgun is only $75 and, as you can see, they do an awesome job!! Plus, even better, they're right here in the Lone Star State!!!

I also took the chance to change the batteries in my CT Laser Grip while I had it off. I will be talking about that tomorrow in a separate post!

I love you guys and I can't wait to talk to you again soon. Find your "Soul Paint" and make your firearm uniquely yours!!! (Just don't get it from ACE Hardware...hehehe. Call up David at Grim Industries and get yours all gussied up like mine!)

Oh, and fellas, before you reject my purple gun and go to talking crap about it: if a purple gun gets a woman to the range, if it gets her to choose to fight for her life, if it teaches her that her life is worth protecting.....'nuff said.

GunGoddess.com

Hello friends! It i absolutely GORGEOUS outside here in the Texas Panhandle and I wish I were shooting, but since I can't today, I thought the next best thing....I'll talk about shooting!! Today I want to tell you about my amazing new friend, Athena, at GunGoddess.com.

Athena sent me some amazing products to review. The first one was the gorgeous star necklace:

I held a giveaway at the Texas Lady Facebook page and my great friend Megan won the necklace. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the fact that the necklaces are made right here in the Lone Star State and you can get many different colors. It's a great length, doesn't snag your hair and is just gorgeous!!

She has other styles and types of shell casing jewelry, so be sure to check them all out!!

She also sent me this beautiful shirt. Hopefully soon I will post pics of me in the shirt. I had the Cowboy take some and they didn't turn out very well. This is why he's a cowboy and not a fashion photographer.
I love this shirt because it is super comfy, high necked so it can be worm at the range, and it is cut for a woman. This isn't just a man's tee with a pretty design, it's cut for a woman's figure.

I was wearing it somewhere the other day and a fella did a double take, it was so much fun when he saw the bullets. Gave me a chance to tell him about Texas Lady and school him on the importance of women being able to protect themselves. His wife is now a member of our league and recently passed her CHL!!
Thanks Athena, for sharing with us! Oh, and fellas, there's stuff for you and the munchkins on her site as well!!  Be sure to check her out and when you order, let her know that That Texas Lady sent ya!!
