GunGoddess.com

Hello friends! It i absolutely GORGEOUS outside here in the Texas Panhandle and I wish I were shooting, but since I can't today, I thought the next best thing....I'll talk about shooting!! Today I want to tell you about my amazing new friend, Athena, at GunGoddess.com.

Athena sent me some amazing products to review. The first one was the gorgeous star necklace:

I held a giveaway at the Texas Lady Facebook page and my great friend Megan won the necklace. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the fact that the necklaces are made right here in the Lone Star State and you can get many different colors. It's a great length, doesn't snag your hair and is just gorgeous!!

She has other styles and types of shell casing jewelry, so be sure to check them all out!!

She also sent me this beautiful shirt. Hopefully soon I will post pics of me in the shirt. I had the Cowboy take some and they didn't turn out very well. This is why he's a cowboy and not a fashion photographer.
I love this shirt because it is super comfy, high necked so it can be worm at the range, and it is cut for a woman. This isn't just a man's tee with a pretty design, it's cut for a woman's figure.

I was wearing it somewhere the other day and a fella did a double take, it was so much fun when he saw the bullets. Gave me a chance to tell him about Texas Lady and school him on the importance of women being able to protect themselves. His wife is now a member of our league and recently passed her CHL!!
Thanks Athena, for sharing with us! Oh, and fellas, there's stuff for you and the munchkins on her site as well!!  Be sure to check her out and when you order, let her know that That Texas Lady sent ya!!

What About Little Girls?

This is not Texas Girl. I found this picture on a free photo site. My baby girl hasn't been to the range yet, but I will hopefully get some great pictures when we go. She thinks she needs her own membership, rather than going on the family membership that we already have.

My daughter has been raised around gun and gun folks. She loves gun shows and shooting matches and being a "Texas Girl" doesn't know yet that there are people out there who want to take away her second amendment rights to bear arms. She just likes to shoot and can easily quote you the 4 major rules of firearms. She also tells all of her friends the rules on if you find a gun, "Stop. Don't touch. Tell a grown up."

At a gun show last month, her father purchased her very first firearm. A pink .22 rifle. She was so excited! She called Cowboy and I, "Momma, momma, I got a GUN!!! Can we go shoot it?"

So she brought it home and it sits in the safe...empty, lonly and unshot. She is as impatient as her mother and waits for our next trip to the range.

Last night I thought she was going to wet herself as we shopped a local outdoor store for ammo and range gear. Our local, small town outdoor store does NOT have much choice on range gear for children. We ended up with an adjustable pair of pink ear muffs (the same ones I use) and a plain clear pair of safety glasses whose shelf tag said "children's" but the package simply said "10% smaller".

So today I set out to find some range gear for Texas Girl. Amazon is so much fun! I found some Daisy Outdoor Products Pink Shooting Glasses. Pink rimmed glasses with adjustable temples so she won't out grow them right away. Ordered!

I found some pink Peltor Kid's Earmuffs, also adjustable. Since the ones I got her were an okay fit for her because she's a big girl, I did not order these, but wanted to list them in case you have a little girl who might like them. They also have blue for boys and a light blue infant pair.

I also found an Allen Pink Camo Rifle Case, not a necessity, but she will love it. I ordered it too!

I added all of these items to the carousel below so that you can get to them quickly at Amazon and order them if you would like.

Hope you've enjoyed this shopping trip as much as I have. I don't enjoy shopping, as I cringe at the thought of spending money, but I love, love SAVING money and that's one reason why I love Amazon!
